Ariana Grande is an example for many in the world of music. Ariana Grande is one of the biggest names in the music industry. Her work ethic, loving personality, and fantastic singing abilities are things people aspire for.

1. She never made into school choir:

Though She’s now a world-famous renowned singer, but Ariana never made it into her school choir.

2. Singing National Anthem:

Ariana grew up as a fan of the NHL’s Florida Panthers hockey team, she was an enthusiast. At 8 years of age she sang the national anthem at one of their games.

3. Toutube debut:

She first appeared on YouTube way back in 2007. Later, Grande signed with Republic Records in 2011 after label executives viewed YouTube videos of her covering songs.

4. Beginning of fame:

Grande began her music career at the age of 15 in 2008 Broadway musical show called “13”. Grande played Charlotte, a cheerleader which is a supporting character. She got a National Youth Theatre Association Award for the role.

She rose to fame for playing Cat Valentine, a young actress enrolled in an acting program, in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious (2010–2013) and Sam & Cat (2013–2014).

She voiced for Diaspro in the Winx Club reboot, and was a member of the main cast of “Swindle.” Since then, she has played multiple roles. Her singing prowess has been compared to Mariah Carey.

Unlike many musicians and actresses who became famous at a young age, Ariana Grande didn’t choose to have a higher degree. She went to North Broward Preparatory School and Pine Crest School and followed an unconventional path to complete her high school. Since she could not attend in person, the school provided her materials via mail so she could work with tutors. In this manner, she eventually bagged her degree.

8. She didn’t go to her first concert until 2011:

For someone who is an international pop sensation now, it is surprising to find out that she didn’t attend a concert until 2011.

9. She was not proud of her first song:

Ariana has expressed disappointment in her first song, “Put Your Hearts Up.” The 2011 song was an anthem of positivity, however, Ariana felt inauthentic and fake to her.

10. The biggest Youtube launch in history:

When her music video “Thank u, Next” debuted on YouTube it broke multiple records and was officially the biggest music video launch in history.

11. The First Concert:

The first concert Ariana ever went to was Katy Perry back in 2011. All of her favourite musical artists are females and they include Imogen Heap, India Arie and Madonna.

12. Only Nominations:

Over the years, Grande has earned various honours, including Teen Choice Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Although she had received 15 nominations, she had never won a Grammy award before 2019.

13. Two-time Grammy winner:

Ariana won her first Grammy in 2019 for Best Pop Vocal Album for her album Sweetener. She won her second Grammy together with Lady Gaga for their collaboration “Rain on me, baby” as the best pop duo/group performance. 

14. Woman of the Year:

That success carries over to the award circuit, where she has won several special prizes, including the Woman of the Year award from Billboard.

15. Best Pop Performance:

Together with other musicians Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, Grande received a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination for their “Bang Bang” song in 2015. She was also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Dangerous Woman” and Best Pop Vocal Album twice before (My Everything in 2015 and Dangerous Woman in 2017).

Ariana Grande has taken home more than 220 honours in her career. Her first album, Yours Truly debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart. Three songs from the album—”The Way,” “Baby I,” and “Right There”—all made it to the Hot 100.

17. International Female Solo Artist:

Ariana has been nominated for the International Female Solo Artist award at the BRIT Awards four times. After being nominated for the award in 2016 but losing to Bjork, Ari went on to win it in 2019 and receive two additional nominations in 2020 and 2021.

She has won three of her shocking 25 MTV European Music Awards nominations. And a staggering 30 nominations for MTV Video Music Awards, including nine victories.

19. White House Performance:

In 2014, Women of Soul saw Grande sing at The White House. Grande began by playfully addressing the Obamas, asking, “Mr. President, Mrs. Obama, what’s up? How are ya?”  The audience laughed at this surprising opening. Grande sang the Whitney Houston song “I Have Nothing.”  The Obamas were incredibly impressed, along with the rest of the public, giving a standing ovation.

Ariana is no more a new face to the nation’s capital city and the White House. She has been a repeat performer at many official White House events, including the famed Easter Egg Roll and the Women of Soul performance.

As one of her biggest hits, it is difficult to imagine “Baby, I” being sang by anyone else except for Ariana. However, the song was originally written for Beyonce, who turned it down, paving the way for Ariana to record it. This song was one of the biggest hits in her debut album, “Yours Truly”.

23. Started her own makeup company:

By developing her makeup brand, Ariana has taken after celebrities like Rihanna and Lady Gaga. In November 2021, Ariana released R.E.M. beauty, which featured several of Ariana’s go-to items, including eyeliner, highlighter, lip gloss, and various other products. R.E.M. Beauty has launched across Ultra stores as of April 2022.
