Drake Bell is best known for playing Josh in the Nickelodeon comedy Drake & Josh, but in recent years, the actor has made news for a number of controversy-related incidents.

The actor originally made his name in the entertainment business in the early 1990s with appearances on “Seinfeld” and “Home Improvement” before landing his breakthrough part on “The Amanda Show” with actress Amanda Bynes.

Bell declared bankruptcy in 2014, claiming to owe $1.597million. He claimed that his home was worth $1.575 million in the filing, and he stated that his monthly costs were $18,771 while his monthly income was $2,820.

With release of “Run Away” from his EP Honest in 2017, Bell started to devote more time to his music career. He continued releasing music tracks for his fans.

Drake Bell’s ex-girlfriend accuses him of abusing her in August 2020

In a TikTok video posted in August 2020, Melissa Lingafelt, who goes by the online alias Jimi Ono, denounced the actor and charged him with verbal and physical abuse throughout their relationship, which ran from August 2006 to February 2009. Bell responded to the allegations in a statement by denying them.

Drake Bell enters guilty plea to attempted child endangerment in June 2021

According to court records, Bellwas accused of attempting to injure children and of spreading information detrimental to minors in June 2021. He entered a not guilty plea at the time.

According to a since-deleted post, the alleged incident allegedly took place on December 1, 2017, the same day the actor was supposed to play at a location in Cleveland.

He virtually appeared in the court later that month, accepting a plea bargain and admitting guilt to both charges. He was given a two-year probationary period and 200 hours of community service in July 2021. Additionally, he was forbidden from speaking with the victim.

The victim of bell, who was 19 at that time, made a statement at the court in which she referred to the “Drake & Josh” star as “the epitome of evil.” She said Bell had started sexually assaulting her when she was 12 years old after grooming her since she was 12 years old.

2021 July: Drake Bell confesses that he is wed and has a son

In the midst of his legal issues, Bell admitted that he was married to his long-time lover Janet Von Schmeling that the two had a kid after they were captured in a photo in Disneyland with a stroller and matching golden rings on their ring fingers.

In response to such untrue allegations, the actor stated, “I have been married for about three years, and we are fortunate to be the parents of a great boy. I appreciate all the wishes from my admirers all across the world very much.”

Drake Bell and Janet Von Schmeling part ways in January 2023

Bell and Von Schmeling were no longer dating as of January 2023. Janet is completely committed to raising their kid. Drake and Janet have made a commitment to upholding a harmonious co-parenting arrangement and providing their baby with the best life possible.

Following pictures and videos of Bell appearing to inhale balloons in his car while parked at a California Vape shop, news of their breakup broke weeks later. His small son was spotted in the backseat of one series of photos.

Bell was reported missing on April 13, 2023, and the Daytona Beach Police Department posted on Facebook that “Officers are looking” for Bell.

The article said that he should be driving a 2022 grey BMW and that his last known location on April 12, 2023, just before 9 PM, may have been Mainland High School. He is regarded as being missing and in danger.

Bell was found a short time after being reported missing, according to Carrie McCallister, the public information officer for the Daytona Police Department. “At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe”, was the statement.

Drake Bell’s spouse Janet Von Schmeling Petitions for divorce in April 2023

Von Schmeling filed for Bell’s divorce on April 20th, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the petition for the dissolution of their marriage with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. According to the paperwork, Von Schmeling also asked for spousal support, legal and physical custody of the infant born to the couple, and child support.
